(1.) Now that you’ve uncompressed the Servant folder, open the Online Servant 1.26 stack. When you see the “Welcome to Online Servant” dialog, click Cancel. Go to the Tech Settings card. Click the “Import settings/addresses” button and follow the instructions. (This works with Servant versions 1.24 and up).
(2.) Rename or Trash your old Servant stack “OS Topics” —you must use the new “OS Topics” for Servant to work correctly. So you’ll have to get fresh topic indexes for any RTs you’re interested in. Also, confirm that “Online Servant Stuff” has had it’s name changed to something else.
(3) If you haven’t quit and relaunched HyperCard since you used the old version of Servant, quit and relaunch.
Thanks for trying the new version. I think you’ll find it works much better. The Release Notes file lists changes since previous versions.
UPGRADING FROM 1.26c to 1.26d:
The preferred way to upgrade is to use the small 1.26c-d upgrader stack. But since you’ve already got this full copy of 1.26d, the procedure above should work fine.
